Tiki Bar TV: This one is rather different. Essentially, Tiki Bar is a surrealist sitcom, with a regular cast of characters engaging in bizarre metaphysical debate, with the premise that somewhere in the episode is going to be the recipe for a really nice cocktail. You'll either get the humour and think the show is awesome, or have it fly over your end and find it just weird. Either way, the drinks are worth making.
Dr Tiki and his friends fill us in on their hottest drinks recipes.
Adult Swim Video Podcast: Those of us in the UK have only had limited exposure to Adult Swim programming - but many geeks in the US are lucky enough to be able to indulge in its unadulterated cartoony pleasure as often as they like. If you're a fan of
Aqua Teen Hunger Force or
Robot Chicken, then you'll love this behind the scenes look at the goings on at the Cartoon Network. The Adult Swim show is a slight oddity in that it is an IPTV show about a standard TV network.
The Adult Swim show highlights behind the scenes footage and previews of upcoming episodes of top shows like Robot Chicken and Ghost in the Shell.
Ask a Ninja: With possibly the catchiest theme song of all time, Ask a Ninja is a comedy podcast starring, well, a Ninja. Some people love it, some people hate it - but you have to at least try it.
I look forward to killing you soon!
Ctrl+Alt+Chicken: From the same stable as Diggnation, Control-Alt-Chicken host Alex Albrecht does geeked out cookery. Reading recipes from a laptop, and clearly having only the vaguest idea about what it is he's actually supposed to be doing, most of us will a) be able to identify with his plight and b) finish watching the podcast slightly more educated about how to cook something. This is a good thing. The recipes are fairly simple but relatively impressive, meaning that a subscription to the show could positively enhance our chances of keeping a good woman.
Can you cook Baked Alaska? Or Chicken Cordon Bleu? Watch this show and you soon will!
